5m Germany Flood
Map release

We are pleased to announce the release of our latest Germany flood mapping, updated to 5m resolution.

The maps are created using market-leading methodologies for improved, consistent flood risk assessment at property-level across Germany.

The maps separately address river and surface water flooding, allowing re/insurers to gain a greater insight into flood loss drivers for six return periods. Modelling covers all rivers, including small streams. The maps enable comprehensive risk assessment, underwriting and accumulation control.

In addition, the mapping is complemented by river flood defence data delineating areas protected by flood defences, allowing clients to assess flood risk against their own risk preferences.

The updated JBA Germany Flood Map can be used alongside existing flood and claims data for a more comprehensive view of the risk and provide an opportunity to assess the hazard from surface water flooding.

5m flood maps for Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Switzerland and the Czech Republic are now available at 5m resolution. Get in touch for more information.
